Steadfast

Going on a journey takes us to places that demands more from us. Like hiking in steep mountains requires physical exertion. The normal comforts must be laid aside as we climb higher and go further. These journeys do not have to be physical: they could be spiritual, mental, or emotional mountains. Certain task and circumstance almost demand that we stretch our abilities. Think of Jesus’ instruction to seek first the Kingdom of God. Surely pursuing that objective will leave us huffing and puffing as we climb to new heights. His command to go into all the world and make disciples will definitely require that we shed a few bodily comforts as we journey outward and onward. Of course followers of Jesus know that we must live an authentic life of love and forgiveness. Yet, in pursuit of those lofty ideas, one must train vigorously to be a champion.
